7-hectare cortijo located next to Laguna del Cadimo, 15 min from the centre of Jaén (18 min by car) and 105 km from Granada airport (1 h 10 min by car). Access via the A-44 and a dual carriageway up to the entrance. The property combines buildings, gardens and agricultural operations.

BUILDINGS (approx. 3,837 m²)

ARCHITECTURAL VALUE
The former dovecote (320 m²), the residences (753 m²) and the offices (430 m²) stand out. They were built in the 1980s using stone from the property itself, collected during the preparation of the farmland. They feature load-bearing walls approximately one metre thick, Catalan ceramic vault-block floor slabs and, in one residence, ceilings made of wooden beams.

ECOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL VALUE
The property is located next to Laguna del Cadimo, which has become a site of interest for its biodiversity, landscape and archaeological value. In 2009, the Junta de Andalucía carried out an archaeological study that documented:
• Prehistory [1]: seasonal Neolithic settlements.
• Iberian and Roman periods [1]: forts, walls, villas, roads and quarries.
• Islamic period [1]: cemetery with 23 burials.
• 17th century [2]: document dated 30 May 1616, held in the Archive of the Provincial Council of Jaén, attesting to the cortijo’s economic importance. Don Luis de Torres y Portugal granted a census in favour of Gaspar Gómez.
• Present day [3]: a region with an agricultural tradition and environmental wealth.

The property offers possibilities for private recreational use, a rural residence, rural tourism, olive oil and agricultural/livestock activities, events, equestrian activities or birdwatching.
