This big-game hunting estate is in the Sierra de Andújar, just west of the Natural Park and outside it. It is in an area of estates renowned for their size, the quality of their game and the fame of their monterías over the years. It is well oriented to the south and has a good network of tracks. Water is well distributed throughout the estate, thanks to various small reservoirs and natural springs. A well supplies the house and the attractive, well-maintained garden with native vegetation. Mediterranean woodland predominates on this estate (holm oaks, cork oaks, mastic trees, strawberry trees, junipers, myrtles, rosemary, woodland, rockroses…), ideal for providing shelter and food for the game. It has around 1,000 quintales of cork from one harvest. There are mainly deer and wild boar, but also mouflons and fallow deer. Spanish ibex are occasionally seen. Hunting takes place in monterías, ganchos, recechos and also during the rut. It is normal to take some trophy (medal-winning) deer and wild boar over the course of the year. It has a very accessible, single-storey house that blends into the landscape. Notable features include a hunting pavilion for montería gatherings, a lounge with a fireplace and a garden terrace, a trophy room, dining room, kitchen with utility room, a family bedroom area and an apartment wing for guests. Heating is provided by electric radiators. It has mains electricity. The estate is 1/2 h from La Carolina, 3 h from Madrid, Seville and Málaga, 2 h from Granada and 1 h 45′ from Córdoba.
