Informative Report on the Cortijo 'El Viznagal de Arriba' in SILES (Jaén)
The Cortijo 'El Viznagal de Arriba' is located in the majestic Sierra de Segura, in the province of Jaén, within the municipality of Siles. Covering almost 500 hectares, this property stands out for its unbeatable natural setting.
The main building, a solid farmhouse of around 600 m², was originally built of stone, but was later renovated and insulated, making use of the stone and using 24 cm thermo-clay blocks and a double layer of extruded polystyrene insulation.
The house has 32 rooms:

The estate is registered as a big and small game hunting reserve, notable for its abundance of wild boar, as well as deer, ibex, wood pigeons, thrushes, etc.
The residential area of the estate is situated at the edge of the forest, surrounded by green meadows and terraces, very close to the springs, With an area of approximately 90.000 m2., this area is being fenced to allow the organic cultivation of vegetables and fruit trees.
Just 9 km. from the village, the estate borders four villages due to its size.
