This hacienda was built in 1998. Designed by Javier de Bethencourt, it is a beautiful estate, ideal in its proportions and balance. The façade is distinguished by a large tower with a belvedere and a hipped roof covered with Arabic tiles, offering views of the beautiful olive-growing surroundings of Aljarafe. All the materials used in its construction come from the demolition of old houses and convents: Arabic tiles, fired-clay bricks, Tarifa stone slabs, wooden doors, wrought-iron grilles, chestnut beams… The result is compact and convincing: a not very old house with the appearance of a centuries-old home.
It has a magnificent layout with several courtyards, each with its own character. The main courtyard, which is the entrance, serves as a working courtyard and contains the stables, tack room and chapel. Next is a more ‘private’, intimate courtyard, which provides access to the house. It is paved with cobblestones and has a fountain and 4 cypress trees that welcome guests.
From here, you enter the house, which has a simple layout: entrance hall, sitting room, large, very bright living room with fireplace (south-west facing), kitchen, pantry, family bedrooms and service area. From here, there is access to a large porch overlooking the garden. In total, the main house has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and a guest toilet. Upstairs, in the tower, there is another sitting room. It would be easy to add 3 additional bedrooms.
The third courtyard contains the parking area (for 7 cars), a storage room and two staff houses (one of them with a fireplace), each with its own living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in one, and two in the other.
If the house is welcoming and enjoyable, the garden is just as impressive. Facing south, it has a wonderful porch and mature trees (magnolias, palm trees, olive trees, cypresses, jacarandas…). The olive trees are particularly noteworthy, some of them centuries old (they were already planted on the estate), as are the beautiful running-water fountains, wisteria-covered galleries, a wonderful swimming pool with changing room and bar, a paddle tennis court with tiered seating… and, of course, automatic irrigation and night-time lighting. It is irrigated with well water, with sufficient flow to water the garden and meet the livestock’s needs.

Outside, there are enclosed areas for horses, a large kennel with 5 doghouses (even with a swimming pool!), a chicken coop and a vegetable garden…
The estate is 10 kms from Sevilla and has good access.
