DESCRIPTION OF ARACIEL FARM
Farm of 84 ha of irrigated land. 44 ha planted with Arbequina olive trees, in super-intensive cultivation and with drip irrigation. Some are in full production and others were planted between 2019 and 2024. Normally, by the second year (third green year), we are already harvesting around 6.000 kg/ha in that first year, and production increases until it reaches 12/14.000 kg/ha, depending on how the plantation is managed. There are also 5 ha planted with Williams pears, on trellises with drip irrigation, as well as 4,5 ha of Fuji apples on trellises with drip irrigation and 1,5 ha of plums. The remaining hectares are used for crops such as alfalfa, irrigated cereals, fallow land, etc....
The plots irrigated by flooding are laser-levelled. The farm is very well connected, next to exit 16 and the toll plaza of the A-68 motorway and the Corella-Alfaro regional road. The farm access roads are suitable for articulated lorries. The farm has two pumping installations, one for the irrigation water intake well, for the exclusive use of the farm, tested at a flow rate of 17 lts/s and with an abstraction concession for 75 years. The well pump supplies water directly to the drippers in each irrigation sector. In addition to the well, the farm has its own reservoir of around 20.000 m3, with another pumping installation. The reservoir is filled by gravity, so no energy is consumed in filling it. There is no double pumping under any circumstances. Both installations are interconnected, so if one breaks down, the other can always operate. Irrigation control is automated 'via radio' and can therefore be controlled from a mobile phone. It also has 'run-of-river' irrigation water from the Alhama River, controlled by the local irrigation association. It therefore has three different ways of obtaining irrigation water, which means that, to date, the farm has never experienced water shortages and has met all its needs.
