The grounds are home to a complete Carthusian monastery, which fell into ruins after the expulsion of the monks in 1836. Since the early 1980s, extensive restoration work has been carried out, revitalizing the site and consolidating all the structures except for the third cloister at the rear, overlooking the valley. This restoration has preserved some intentionally deteriorated elements, giving the monument a romantic aesthetic.
