The castle is in an excellent condition since it was restored in the 70's, so it needs minor interior restoration work to bring it up to date.
The south-facing Torre del Homenaje  keep  originally dates back to the 12th century and currently has 3 floors, where 3 bedrooms can be located.
Upstairs there is a flat roof that can easily be converted into a terrace or viewpoint. The tower has on the first floor a dungeon with walls 3 meters wide, adaptable to library, cellar, or office. 
The tower connects with a construction of the 70's with about 130 meters on 2 floors of living room, dining room and possible kitchen. 
This space connects on the first floor with a magnificent courtyard, where you can make a spectacular garden and a pool in its central area, and slightly expand the current construction, or modify it to a contemporary style. It has a well, highly necessary in the past for the siege. 
The towers have original loopholes for light artillery, with restored passages and vaults. The entrance consists of tower and gariton, with northwest orientation. The original moat can be rebuilt, as the fortress had a double defensive wall. 
The castle also includes adjoining land on the hill where it is located, with 3 stone houses to restore, which can be used as garages for the castle, additional bedrooms, or cottages for rent. 
The rehabilitation is also easily subsidized by the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha by 80-90%. 
Estables Castle has a fascinating history. Located in an enclave of great strategic importance, in a highly fortified area in the Senorio de Molina, it was built in the 12th century as a watchtower. In 1432, D. Alvaro de Luna, chancellor of King Juan II ordered it repaired. Later it was violently conquered by D. Gaston de la Cerda Count of Medinaceli, who ordered its reconstruction in 1450.
