The campsite "Camping Os Ancares" is located in the parish of Mosteiro, Concello de Cervantes, within the Biosphere Reserve of Os Ancares. Strategically located 15 km from Becerrea and 13 km from exit 451 of the A-6, this area has excellent connections with the capital and other outstanding tourist areas such as Doiras, Piornedo and Vilarello da Igrexa, where the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes is located. Located next to the Cervantes river, which flows just a few metres from the entrance, and surrounded by the Ricabo stream, which runs through the property.It is the only campsite with a camping licence in the whole region due to its protected location in this area. It plays a crucial role in ecological and environmental terms. Although it is not on the direct route of the Camino de Santiago, it is a strategic point in the region that is frequently used by caravans and motorhomes wishing to explore segments of the route.In its 17,000 m2 area, there is a main house which includes a restaurant-cafeteria, toilets and showers for men and women, a storage room and a wine cellar. In addition, there are four level camping terraces with 50 large spaces for tents and vehicles, a terrace with a swimming pool and deck and three other free areas. Six wooden bungalows are located at the top of the site. Each bungalow has two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, dining room and a loft with beds, as well as heating and hot water. The maximum capacity of each bungalow is 10-12 people.The bungalows, built in solid wood, provide a pleasant and comfortable indoor stay. The camping area of approximately 5,000 m2 is divided into plots separated by trees, which provides shade for the campers. Each pitch is equipped with electricity and light points. The camp also offers a section with sinks and toilets for campers on the ground floor of the main building.The main building houses the cafeteria and restaurant upstairs, with a ramp for disabled access to comply with regulations. There is also a swimming pool area and a large terrace to enjoy the summer.The campsite has all the necessary licences, including waste licence, auger well water licence, swimming pool licence and bungalow licence, which guarantees its legality and operation.
